Eversheds and Södermark merge to create new business law firm of the future
Eversheds Advokatbyrå AB and Advokatfirman Södermark have merged to become one of the leading business law firms in Sweden. The move is in response to clients increasing need for high quality legal advice that provides value for money and an international outlook.
The new full service firm has started to practice from January 2010 in Sodermark's extended office premises on Strandvägen 1, Stockholm. Advokatfirman Södermark is one of Sweden's oldest and most reputable law firms, offering cutting edge competence in several business legal areas with a particularly strong litigation profile.
Eversheds' strategy and international strength, combined with Advokatfirman Södermark's strong domestic position, creates a very powerful law firm. Eversheds and Södermark have set an ambitious strategy for growth, with the explicit goal to gradually strengthen and develop our role in Eversheds's international activities. Through the merger we are building a law firm of the future.
The move to merge has been backed by Bertil Södermark, whose father and uncle founded Advokatfirman Södermark in 1925.
